Camino Trail Walk and Fundraiser
On September 10 we set off on the Camino Frances from St Jean Pied de Port in the south of France up and over the Pyrenees mountains, and through the rolling hills and vineyards of the Rioja region and down into Santiago de Compostela in north west Spain.
A historic pilgrimage route since the Middle Ages.
It is the way of St James.
It’s total length is around 800km and our aim is to walk through to Santiago, but we will keep you posted.
They say walking the Camino changes lives and perspectives, through the beautiful people you meet, and the challenges you face.
For many It’s healing from heartache and making new memories.
For us, it’s turning a page, moving on, and healing from when our lives took a heartbreaking turn. When we discovered things weren’t as they seemed in our church.
To make this walk more meaningful we would love it to double as a fundraiser for Bridges & Balm ~ a charity focused on supporting the financial and emotional well-being of survivors of sexual and emotional abuse, as well as former workers ~ those who spent time in the work and now need assistance.
This is an opportunity for those who are aware, who want to show love, and real help, but not sure of the where and how.
Donations can be anonymous.
Your donation will be channelled towards the needs in UK, Ireland, EU, South Africa, Australia and New Zealand, as more survivors are coming into the light in those regions.
Our goal is based on Bridges & Balm’s conservative projections for therapy payments in the above mentioned regions for the next 12 months.

Astounding, but mostly heartbreaking.
It’s devastating to realise that such a platform is even necessary.
Please donate here and enter "Camino" in the "Survivor Code" field. (Camino Donation Help)
Please, If you’re walking your journey alone and need support, or if you’re finding this hard to read and process, please reach out to pathways to healing. ❤️🩹
