Periodically, we will use this space to provide updates on partner organizations who are walking beside us in this work. This Partner Spotlight describes the critically important work of the Pathways to Healing Network, Bridges & Balm’s closest partner.
Pathways to Healing Network (P2HN) is a survivor-centered nonprofit dedicated to connecting individuals impacted by child sexual abuse, sexual assault, spiritual abuse, and betrayal trauma, particularly within the 2x2 church community, with timely, trauma-informed mental health care and supportive resources.

PH2N is focused exclusively on clinical care and survivor support. P2HN strives to ensure that survivors receive high-quality, survivor-centered services without unnecessary barriers or delays. If you are a survivor or know someone who might benefit from our services, please contact us here.
In addition to accessing mental health services, P2HN encourages survivors to address their physical well-being by connecting with primary care providers and psychiatric resources when necessary. Understanding the whole person—emotionally, physically, and spiritually—is at the heart of P2HN’s trauma-informed model.
Key Services Offered:
Therapist Matching: Survivors are provided with 3–5 personalized therapist recommendations, carefully matched based on location, insurance, therapy modality (in-person or online), therapist gender preference, and trauma expertise. Every therapist P2HN recommends is vetted for both clinical qualifications and trauma-informed practice.
Financial Support referral: P2HN collaborates with trusted organizations such as Bridges & Balm and United Open Arms to help survivors access financial assistance for therapy services and related support. In these cases, survivor names aren’t shared with Bridges & Balm. We are able to gain direct survivor support for therapy while maintaining confidentiality.
Social Services Navigation Assistance: Trained advocates assist survivors in navigating essential services, including support with temporary housing, housing subsidy applications, accessing food banks, and completing income assistance applications.
Insurance and Health Care Coverage Support: Advocates assist survivors in reviewing insurance options, understanding health care coverage, and submitting therapy claims to reduce financial barriers to care.
Advocacy Training: P2HN offers a 26-hour course that equips advocates to provide ongoing, ethical, and trauma-informed support to survivors. This course models the approach of CASA (Court-Appointed Special Advocates), offering survivors a steady and supportive presence throughout their healing journey.
Care Packages: Tangible expressions of care are delivered through carefully curated packages that include grounding tools, self-care items, and handwritten notes of encouragement. These packages remind survivors they are not forgotten and are supported by a larger community that cares.
Healing Through Art: Recognizing the powerful role creative expression plays in recovery, the P2HN Healing Through Art team provides opportunities for survivors to engage in musical, written, and visual arts. Whether through songwriting, poetry, painting, or other forms of creative expression, survivors are supported in using art as a meaningful part of their healing journey.
Educational Programs: Through initiatives such as the Book Club and Wellness Series, P2HN promotes education, community connection, and holistic well-being. Survivors and advocates can access resources focused on trauma recovery, self-care, and empowerment.
Housing Placement - If you are in need of housing or housing assistance, P2HN will assess your situation and anonymously coordinate with Bridges & Balm to gather a list of possible options and recommend a path forward. Stable and safe housing is a critical component of therapy and both P2HN and Bridges & Balm are committed to supporting you with your recovery.
Commitment to Confidentiality and Survivor Choice: Every aspect of P2HN’s approach is survivor-led. Survivors maintain full control over their healing journey, and no information is shared without their explicit consent. Participation in programs such as advocacy matching or community education is completely voluntary, ensuring survivors always set the pace.
P2HN is not a crisis service; instead, it focuses on long-term healing and empowerment. Survivors in immediate crisis are referred to appropriate emergency services.
If you or someone you know could benefit from connecting with a trauma-informed community dedicated to survivor empowerment, we encourage you to visit pathways2healing.org. If you’re interested in completing the advocacy training, please contact Jan Morton, Training and Curriculum Development Coordinator, at training@pathways2healing.org. If you would like to request a care package, you can do so here.
Healing is possible, and no one should have to walk the journey alone.
