Partner Spotlight: United Open Arms
Periodically, we will use this space to provide updates on partner organizations who are walking beside us in this work. This Partner Spotlight describes the important work of United Open Arms.
You Are Not Alone: How United Open Arms Supports Survivors on Their Path to Healing
Healing from sexual abuse takes courage, and it also takes resources. United Open Arms (UOA) exists to make sure that cost is never a barrier to getting the help survivors deserve.
Our Mission
UOA is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting survivors of child sexual abuse (CSA) and adult sexual abuse (SA). We provide therapy funding to help survivors access professional care in the United States and elsewhere in the world, and we share educational resources to help communities create safer spaces. Funding is offered with compassion and confidentiality.

Therapy Funding
We know that reaching out is one of the hardest steps. That's why we've made the process as simple and private as possible.
Already have a licensed therapist? Call the UOA Therapy Funding Helpline at 1-888-564-3073 (international rates may apply). An English-speaking, trauma-informed RAINN professional will answer your call, walk you through the eligibility process, and treat your story with the care it deserves. The helpline is available Monday–Friday, 9am–7pm Eastern time (closed on major US holidays and between Christmas and New Year's).
Need help finding a therapist? Reach out to Pathways to Healing Network by emailing support@pathways2healing.org— in English or Spanish. They'll connect you with a credentialed, trauma-informed therapist who can provide safe, confidential support.
Once you're qualified through either RAINN or Pathways to Healing Network, UOA's third-party administrator will set up direct payments to your therapist — so you can focus entirely on healing.
In Crisis? Help Is Available 24/7
The UOA Therapy Funding Helpline is not a crisis line and does not investigate abuse allegations. If you need immediate support, please contact RAINN's National Sexual Assault Hotline, available around the clock: call 1-800-656-HOPE(4673) or visit rainn.org. Please note: RAINN is a mandatory reporter. If identifying information about the abuse of a child or vulnerable adult is disclosed, a report to local authorities will be required.
Built on Trust and Transparency
UOA is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt nonprofit, which means every donation is held to the highest standards of financial transparency and legal accountability. We also offer fully confidential donation options; donors who wish to give privately can do so with complete assurance that their names will never be disclosed.
Education Is Prevention
We believe that one of the most powerful tools against sexual abuse is knowledge. UOA is actively building a library of education resources to help individuals, families, and communities recognize warning signs and foster safer environments. These materials are freely available through our website.
Powered by People Who Care
UOA is run entirely by unpaid volunteers: people from all walks of life who are united by a common belief: that every survivor deserves support, dignity, and a path forward.
