This fall, Howard and Lynda Carnew are putting on their walking shoes and heading out on the Camino de Santiago trail, a historic pilgrimage stretching hundreds of miles across Spain. We can all follow along with them at: camino_hnl on Instagram. For them, this journey is a personal challenge. At the same time, it is a walk of solidarity, hope, and generosity.

Every step they take will raise awareness and funds for survivors of abuse and former workers, focused specifically on needs in Australia, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, and South Africa. Their Camino walk is a symbol of resilience, reminding us that while the road may be long, healing and new beginnings are also possible.

The Camino is about more than reaching a destination; it is about the people encountered on the trail, the stories travelers bring with them, and the strength discovered along the way. In that same spirit, Bridges & Balm exists to walk alongside those who are rebuilding their lives. No pilgrim journeys alone, and no one needs to work through transitions or wounds in isolation.
We are so grateful for the courage and commitment of these two walkers. As they make their way toward Santiago, we invite you to follow their journey, cheer them on, and consider supporting their efforts at BidgesandBalm.org/camino-trail-fundraiser. Together we can all turn each mile into meaningful change.
